Rowing
After pressing pause due to bad weather Olympic rowing is BACK and Canada’s single and double scullers will get the chance to qualify for the medal race.

Carling Zeeman of Cambridge advanced to the semifinal of the women’s single sculls race tonight and will hopefully qualify for Thursday's finals - yet another opportunity for a powerful Canadian woman to bring home a medal at the Games.
Women’s pair, Caileigh Filmer and Hillary Janssens also have a good shot at winning another medal for Canada. After finishing third in their semifinal race, Filmer and Jannsens will competing in the final tonight at 8:30pm ET!

Tune in today (Wednesday) and Thursday for live coverage starting at 7:30pm ET on CBC TV, CBC Gem, the CBC Olympics app or online at CBC Sports!
Swimming
The Canadian women already have a silver medal in their pocket(s) from the 4x100m freestyle relay earlier this week. Can Team Canada’s medal rush at the pool continue TONIGHT with the 4x200m women’s freestyle relay? I’d like to believe so!

Keep your eye out for the one and only Penny Oleksiak who could be racing for another medal in the women’s 100m freestyle on Thursday evening! I’ll also be watching Sydney Pickrem as she competes in the 200m breaststroke. Pickrem is not yet confirmed for the final but I’m feeling optimistic.
ALSO, there’s a chance Oleksiak will be swimming as part of the 4x200m freestyle tonight. If she does compete and Canada wins a medal, she will become the most decorated Canadian Olympian of all time with SEVEN MEDALS!

Women’s Trampoline
Get ready… Canada’s Rosie MacLennan will be competing in the women’s individual trampoline finals early Friday morning. And I must admit, I’ve really been looking forward to watching MacLennan soar to new heights in Tokyo as the defending Olympic Champion.

MacLennan is set to compete in her fourth Olympic Games as a two-time defending champion, having claimed gold medals at London 2012 and Rio 2016. She is the first trampolinist in history to win back-to-back Olympic golds and has the chance to defend her title again here in Tokyo.
Check out the women’s individual trampoline finals on Friday morning at 1:50am ET on CBC Sports!
Beach Volleyball
Canadian beach volleyball legends, Melissa Humana-Paredes and Sarah Pavan, are hitting the sand again tonight to close out Pool A against Switzerland’s Joana Heirich and Anouk Verge-Depre.
Humana-Paredes and Pavan are coming off of two straight set victories in Tokyo so far and seem ready to leave it all on the court this evening. But the Swiss are looking pretty dangerous as well, sharing the lead with a 2-0 win-loss record.

Player’s Own Voice Podcast
Leylah Annie Fernandez, an 18-year-old from Montreal, is on today’s episode of Player’s Own Voice. As tennis players go, Fernandez is a physically small champion. The 2019 world number one junior tennis player’s Olympic debut just ended in a loss to this year’s French Open winner. But Fernandez says that focus on an athlete’s size and shape can blind a lot of experts to their raw talent.
