LPGA Cambia Portland Classic
This weekend, Canadian Brooke Henderson will be gracing our screens at the 2021 LPGA Cambia Portland Classic! Henderson’s 10 LPGA Tour victories make her the highest winning professional golfer in Canadian history. AND with the first three wins coming from tournaments in the Pacific Northwest, it’s no surprise that she looks right at home in Portland.

This year’s tournament will be played at The Oregon Golf Club for the first time. The new venue has the potential to level the playing field with none of the players having had the advantage of seeing the course in tournament condition.
But of course, there are some recognizable names in the lineup and a handful of athletes I’ll be keeping a close eye on. Here’s my list: world No.2 Jin Young Ko is the highest ranked player in the field and will definitely be a threat. She’s joined by fellow major winners Ariya Jutanugarn, Hannah Green and OF COURSE our Canadian legend, Brooke Henderson.

It’s still early in the tournament so I’m excited to see how things play out. I’ll be proudly cheering for Henderson to take home her THIRD Cambia Portland Classic title.
Tune in to see the LPGA tour hit the Pacific Northwest, Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 3pm ET on the Golf Channel!

Super League Triathlon Championship Series: Jersey
The Super League Triathlon Championship Series is BACK this weekend as athletes gear up for competition in Jersey.

I don’t know about you but I find triathlons SO ENTERTAINING. These athletes are absolute beasts. It's so impressive. But fan-girling aside, the third of four consecutive weekends of high-octane action is almost here with racing starting at 6:30am ET on Saturday.
Jersey is like the spiritual home on the Championship Series and it welcomes back the best athletes in the sport with open arms. Many athletes describe this weekend’s race destination as their favourite competition location in the world. And I’m more than ready to see these athletes bring that passion to the race tomorrow.
Great Britain’s Jessica Learmonth has been killing it so far and currently holds the No.1 spot in the rankings. Behind her are British triathlete Georgia Taylor-Brown and Katie Zaferes of the United States.
Live coverage begins on Saturday morning with the enduro race. This requires athletes to complete three back-to-back swim-bike-run stages with no downtime in between. The stages consist of a 300m swim, 4km bike and 1.6km run.
Check out this weekend’s Super League Triathlon stop in Jersey, Saturday at 6:30am ET on CBC Sports!
WNBA
The 2021 WNBA Playoffs begin NEXT WEEK and the field is nearly finalized.

The following seven teams have clinched one of the eight playoff spots: Connecticut Sun, Las Vegas Aces, Minnesota Lynx, Seattle Storm, Phoenix Mercury, Chicago Sky and Dallas Wings. The three teams in the running for the final spot are the Washington Mystics, Los Angeles Sparks and New York Liberty.
The Mystics are fighting to keep hold of the eighth and final playoff spot over the final days of the season (which concludes on Sunday). And it’s fully possible for Washington to officially become playoff contenders if they manage to beat the Liberty tonight. The Mystics also have a secret weapon - Tina Charles - who is leading the league's race for the scoring title (by like… A LOT).

WNBA games the weekend:
Washington Mystics vs. New York Liberty - Friday at 7pm ET
Minnesota Lynx vs. Indiana Fever - Friday at 7pm ET
Las Vegas Aces vs. Chicago Sky - Friday at 8pm ET
Phoenix Mercury vs. Seattle Storm - Friday at 10pm ET
Atlanta Dream vs. Connecticut Sun - Sunday at 1pm ET
Minnesota Lynx vs. Washington Mystics - Sunday at 3pm ET
Las Vegas Aces vs. Phoenix Mercury - Sunday at 3pm ET
Los Angeles Sparks vs. Dallas Wings - Sunday at 5pm ET
